Pass the Cart Project

I am part of the Pass the Cart II Project but filmshooting.com is down so am unable to communicate with the others involved. Are any of the main players in that project on this board as well? Would hate to see this thing go off the rails again.

I don't know if I count as a "main player" but I'm in it...I'll let Philip (Last Coyote) know to come here. Shame about filmshooting.com...anyone know when it's set to come back?

Good to know that instead of being alone in the dark there are others with me here in the dark and that PTC is perhaps, maybe, not entirely cursed.

 

Plan to shoot my 12.5 feet this weekend but not sure what that means yet.

Just wanted to make sure that Rick is aware that it's 10 feet @ 24 fps, not 12.5 feet...

Or give me back my cart, i've still got 2.5 feet to shoot! :blink: :rolleyes:

Yes, that's true.. Rick, the reason I suggest to leave some film behind is to provide some buffer for the last shooter. Because I did suffer wait for the film few months as the last shooter and only have 2 seconds of film left in the cart. That's why I suggested that all shooters shoot their 10 feet and in case someone overrun a bit.. the last one still have their safe 10 feet to shoot.

 

The reason for that is to protect the last shooter (for example: you)... but it shouldn't become an advantage that the last shooter have 20 seconds, which I think that's not fair to the others when all of them only have 10 feet. You can overrun a little bit like a couple of seconds.. but please plan for your footage in 10 feet(30seconds in 24fps).

 

Have fun Rick, and can't wait to see your footage. I'm sure all the shooters will given the best they could to this project.

Finally got around to finishing off my cart (started by James E, Chas and Pelle): decided to just mess around with shutterless shots of candles and lights since it's hard to get the right idea for a mere 10 feet.

 

And I only had 7 feet!!! So much for people shooting 10 feet to leave a buffer at the end!!!

 

I am really glad I didn't try to execute anything complicated (as originally planned) as I would have been really let down.

 

Anyway, I will get this processed here and get it off to Last Coyote.

Aright -- 'fess up someone -- who shot the extra footage?! Maybe one of you metric folk? ;)
