Jon Rosenbloom
How would it work if I want to shoot, and transfer @ different frame rates on the HVX? Say we're using either P2 card or hard drive. Most of my project is 24fps. Pretty easy to shoot slow-mo @ 36fps, or 48fps. BUT, suppose I want to do the Wong Kar Wai thing and shoot at 12fps, and "transfer" that footage at 12fps? Is this something Avid can seamlessly handle? Also, does the HVX do SD out if it it's shooting in HD? Edited May 11, 2008 by Jon Rosenbloom

You would shoot at the desired frame rate and then slow-mo the footage in post. That's essentially what's happening with the step-printing used in WKW movies. The HVX does offer composite SD output for viewing
