No Fire Wire To FCP 4.5

Hi,

 

FCP expert in the house?

 

I have FCP 4.5 HD here on my Mac G4. All of a sudden I'm not getting video from or to the deck. The deck is a JVC BR-DV3000.

 

Oddly I can control the deck from FCP 4.5 make it go FF, RW, etc etc. But it simply will not send or receive video. It was working perfectly, then all of a sudden, no go.

 

I have FCP 3 and Premiere on the same machine, they both get video from the deck perfectly, so I know the connections are good.

 

I have used the easy set up in FCP 4.5, DV-NTSC, OK. Still just a black screen.

 

This is very annoying :angry:

Try deleting your FCP preferences and reboot.

 

User>Library>Prefereces>FCP User data>FCP preferences. Drag to trash and empty bin.

 

Upon re-starting FCP, it will reset the preferences back to factory specs.
