Guest Evangelos Vlachakis
bought this lens recently from USA. It was never used as I got another zoom lens for my RED camera. The original seller stated the following which apply in this item, that I am selling here in a very affordable price. This is a real bargain for an EXCELLENT piece of optics. "New Old Stock Angenieux 17.5-70mm Super 16mm lens, in custom, exclusive PL mount. Works well on the Red Camera for 2K shooting. Covers Super 16mm throughout the zoom range. This lens is compatible with single chipped PL mounted digital cameras ie. Red Camera and SI-2K.Super Compact. These lenses will fit Super 16mm PL Mount cameras, but are NOT for 35mm motion picture film camera use. These lenses were a manufacturers overstocked item, and have been sitting bubble wrapped in storage for years .There is NO FUNGUS, the glass is clear without cleaning marks, scratches, pits, separation, or condensation. The high quality custom PL Hard mount is made of stainless steel, in the USA, to exacting tolerances. This lens was originally designed for use on a professional motion picture film camera. 17.5-70mm zoom lens covers Super 16mm and is a fast T2.5. Lens will close focus up to just four feet away. These lenses are PL mounted and ready to use. Super 16 mm Lenses were specifically designed for CINE use, you will be pleased with the optical quality of these lenses. Professional lenses with Magnesium Flouride coated optics. The build on these lenses is substantial, no plastic or rubber here. Nice compact size. NOT for 35mm motion picture film camera use, or for use with adapters that simulate 35mm DOF by using suspended imagery.
