MTL
Ok, sorry to bother y'all with a stupid question. When i attach the film on the take-up side the eclair acl, onto the empty 100' daylight loading spool, do i just slip in the end of the film into the little notch in the spool, or do i make a little bend in the film for it to stay better... - L. Then a tight fold-over may catch on the gate as it goes through the camera. Likewise, taping the film end to the core is not recommended, as the film may tear or the tape drawn through the camera causing a jam.
Premium Member John Sprung Posted November 5, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted November 5, 2004 On a core, twist the film 180 degrees, stick it in the slot, and use the slot to fold it the right amount. Then pull it out and stick that folded end the right way around in the slot, fold it back and take up a couple wraps around the core. This creates a sort of "Z" shaped end that holds very nicely in the core without resorting to tape. All this can be done quite easily by feel in the bag. -- J.S.
