jason duncan Posted September 28, 2008 Share Posted September 28, 2008 This LA7200 anamorphic lens...Is this another option to shoot in "Max 8" without modifing the gate? Plus I would assume you get a wider ratio with this lens then when you cut into the gate? I have a 1014xls and a 814xls so yet another advantage with this lens as opossoed to cutting the gate. Rolando Fernandez Posted October 1, 2008 Share Posted October 1, 2008 LA7200 works very nice on my 1014 , in post I just set the final render to 16x9 and you get flat widescreen. Minimal light loss only 1/3 asa push using tungsten filter. I also try the cinemascope lens from a 16mm projector and get a 2.66:1 in daylight and looks very well. R.
