Ray Noori
Hi, I just purchased an Eclair ACL 16mm camera with a 24fps cyrstal sync motor. The power transmits through an XLR cable from a battery pack that came with the camera. The battery is a Sony NP-1B Ni-Cd battery pack. The problem is, the package didn't come with a charger for the battery. The only official Sony chargers that I've come across are for multiple batteries and cost $250! I was told by someone that I could get by with buying a universal smart battery charger like this one: http://www.thomas-distributing.com/mh-c777plus.htm Is anyone here familiar with that specific Sony battery pack or know if the charger in the above link would solve my problem? Any advice would be immensely appreciated. Thanks, Ray
Jean-Louis Seguin
Hi Ray, I have the Maha charger and I have used it to charge NP-1s. It works well. I can also recommend this one which is cheaper: http://www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?Page...amp;ProdID=2350 Cheers, Jean-Louis
