Premium Member Greg Gross Posted November 13, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted November 13, 2004 Well Meg, Are you going to be another Yul Brenner? Have you ever seen the profile shot he did of Ingrid Bergman,he can be seen in a reflection in this shot. He also did some nice color shots of Mr. DeMille,Mr. Heston,Anthony Quinn. Two of my favorite b&w shots of his,are those of Audrey Hepburn and Yves Montand. He did a great color shot of Ingrid Bergman and Yves Montand together(Ingrid at full face and Yves at two thirds). In 1971 I photographed Lee Marvin and you should of been around to see it. I was a friend of his step- son and we were in Texas. This was before I knew he was Lee Marvin's step- son. One day he said "hey Greg get your camera and come over to the house cause I want you to meet my dad". Well I walked in the living room and there was Lee Marvin with Michelle. Meg,I'm telling you honey,I just about peed my pants,I did'nt know what f-stop or ASA I had set. They wanted me to do por- traits of them all together and individual shots. I shot b&w and kodachrome, they all came out great. Lee would pose for me and change is expression and kid around, ham it up,I hardly had to say anything. He always made me nervous, because to me he was star,he just could not believe that I saw him as a star. Honey, he was a star,I loved him with Angie Dickenson. I've gotten carried away here. Now don't go out and by a Leica cause Nikon takes the world's pictures! Yoy will not have time for the full zone technique, so here's what I suggest:
