Guest Frank
I am shooting a commercial soon for the Kodak student commercial awards and I am thinking of using the new vision2 100T, '12. I've used the old EXR 100T quite a lot, 4 stops down and there's nowt, but I hear that the new stocks have a lot more latitude. Could someone who has used this stock tell me exactly how many stops down it is to absolute black and simularly up to white. I guess I have to take into consideration the fact it'll be TK to video. How will that effect when the image goes to black? cheers, frank ps: first time on, hope I did it all right!
Premium Member John Pytlak RIP Posted November 16, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted November 16, 2004 Compared to the older film, Kodak VISION2 100T Color Negative Film 5212/7212 will be sharper, and the tonal scale will be more neutral from deep shadows to extreme highlights. A bit lower in contrast, with more natural color/flesh tone reproduction. With normal exposure (EI 100T), you should find rich, neutral blacks with good shadow detail. If you don't have the light, I suggest using a faster film like 5217/7217 rather than underexposing. http://www.kodak.com/US/en/motion/products...0.1.4.4.4&lc=en
