Tous Les Matins du Monde ?

Just saw this last night on TCM for the first time and was amazed at how Yves Angelo obtained this really amazing, crystaline period look. The colors, the sharpness, were just incredible. Nothing like what you see today in most movies. Really saturated, but very clean looking.

How did he do it? What film stock did he use? Anybody know?
