Jason Hinkle RIP
I don't want to start a whole French-vs-English Mag discussion, but I read recently that the English 400" Mags had a tendency to lose tension and cause a jam - but that there was a simple adjustment to prevent this from happening. I was wondering if any of you have heard that and know whatever the adjustment is?
Saul Rodgar
Thing is, some English made mags are French style (without the weird arm/ contraption on the take up side), I have two of them. I guess it depends on how the mags themselves have been kept up with, like everything. I have a friend who really likes his English style ACL mags. I wouldn't touch one with a ten foot pole, to coin a phrase. But a good tech can make English style mags work their best. I dunno any that specialize doing that sort of work. Les Bosher in the UK may, since one would think there are (or were) a lot of English style ACL mags in the UK, but that is pure speculation. www.LesBosher.com Edited December 19, 2008 by Saul Rodgar
