Looking to volunteer as grip or gaffer in NYC

Greetings,

 

I'd like to introduce myself. I'm a 39 yo career Avid/FCP editor and aspiring DP. I just joined today and I'm looking for opportunities to assist DPs, Key Grips and Head Gaffers. I'm willing to volunteer completely free a one or two days a week so I can learn more about professional lighting for feature films, TV & Commercials.

 

I live on the Upper West Side in NYC and I'm willing to travel within a 50 mile radius by bus or train if necessary. I'm usually available Sundays, Mondays & Tuesdays every week as I work as an Avid Editor the other days.

You can try Mandy.com or craigslist. Both places always have tons of listings begging for free labor (not that I'm for this). Here is a good resource too, but those two websites have a high frequency of new listings.
