Alex Worster
I was working with the Arri 35-3 today and will be for the next couple days and I've got a small easy question... is there any way to clear the shutter to check the gate without opening up the door to spin the movement? If there is I would be stoked to know, if not it would be great just to get a definitive "No, you have to open up the door which sucks but it is what it is". Thanks! Premium Member Chris Keth Posted January 22, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted January 22, 2009 I've never worked with a 35-3 but I always assumed those knobs near the back of the body were inching knobs. What are they then, out of curiosity?
Premium Member Tristan Noelle Posted January 22, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted January 22, 2009 You should be able to use the inching knob on the assistant's side to rotate the shutter. You have to push it into the camera body to engage it while you turn it. It threw me off a bit when I first used the 35-3. Hope that helps in some way.
