Thomas Baerten
These are my two first films I made for school. Both films are shot with a mini-DV camcorder. The first assignment was to show "an object" with : -no moving camera, zooming or focus-pulling -45 seconds -no sound -10 to 15 shots --> Click to view first film The second assignment was to show "an action" with the same rules as the first assignment --> Click to view the second film The teachers were quite happy with the first film, but the second was not that good in their opinion. (and I agree) greets, Thomas

(and I agree) greets, Thomas Hey Thomas, the first one is good, I like the framing of some of these shots. I don't know the intention of your teachers but I can imagine that they wanted to see how much your images are able to express without any movement or music because these two elements influence a lot the emotional effect that images create and they make them look stronger than they really are. As a suggestion you could try to change the depth of field in some shots (if your camera allows you to change it).
