What framerate was this shot at?

Recommended Posts

This is a question i needed answering to help find the right camera (posted in another thread) that didnt get answered, so i hope this is a more appropriate forum to post it in.

What framerate do you think this was shot at? FYI, you might not want to watch this at work, its a little risque.

(The link should bring you to the correct time, but if not, just skip to the 8:20 mark.)

Looks like 75 - 100fps to me, perhaps not even that in some shots.

The easiest way to be sure in this case, would be to download it (though this is awkward) and speed it up in your editing software until it appears to be moving at "real time". This would be a good way of determining the speed, if a tiny bit long winded (youtube downloading not easy)

Best,

JM

Ok, got a copy of it and found out it was slowed down 5x (500%), if the video is at 30fps, so im assuming this was shot at 150fps.

Now when your doing slo-mo shots like this at high framerates, is it better to shoot progressive or interlaced? For say i shot at 60p, would it essentially be like shooting at 120i?
