The rod support attaches directly to the bottom of the camera via a ¼-20 screw, and then can be attached to any tripod plate accepting ¼-20. The unit has both horizontal and vertical adjustments to ensure proper alignment and includes tools necessary for adjustment. It is made from light weight aluminum and then powder coated with a matte black finish for durability. *The rods that will come with this rod support are carbon fiber and made by Cavision. The rods are industry standard 15 mm diameter and set 60 mm rod center to rod center, meaning that they'll accept any matte box or follow focus designed to these measurements. Rod lengths are 10".
