Alain Lumina
Hello, I have a CP-16r that is running quite well with a 12-120 Canon Macro Zoom. However, for cramped locations I want to get set up for wide angle, something between 5 and 8? ( after I pay Bernie off for setting the cam/lens up!) 1) Can anyone tell me if there are older Mitchell mount lenses that may fit as well as CP proprietary 2) What adaptors are available to -use other brand lenses ( angenieux, etc) Thanks Edited June 27, 2009 by Alain Lumina
Michael Collier
I have a beautiful angie 6mm lens with a CP mount. Don't know where to find new ones, this one came with when I bought it. How much are you looking to spend?
Alain Lumina
I have a beautiful angie 6mm lens with a CP mount. Don't know where to find new ones, this one came with when I bought it. How much are you looking to spend? . Thanks for your offer; at least I know CP mount Angenieux's exist. I think I saw a similar one on Whitehouse web page ( 5.9 , T2.0) , seems well out of my range ( 1700+) I only paid about 1300 for cam incl. service by Bernie. I am looking or something for occasional tight shots, <500, doesn't have to be an exceptional lens like this one appears to be. I am a total microbudget producer, a few hundred a month is my budget for film etc. I don't have money. I just hate digital. Maybe an adaptor with a cheaper lens would make sense? Premium Member Bruce Taylor Posted June 28, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted June 28, 2009 Maybe an adaptor with a cheaper lens would make sense? Be very careful about adapters and wide lenses, you may have very expensive mirror clearance issues. It would be safest and best to get one of the lenses made in the CP mount. I know the Angie was out there, there may have been the Kinoptic as well. If you want one cheap, keep an eye on ebay. When I was using my CP16R I would see them going between $250 and 400. Whitehouse is a good professional resource, but if you have no budget you'll need to look elsewhere. Bruce Taylor www.indi35.com
Joel Deutsch SOC
Hello, I have a Super Wide Angle Lens that fits CP-16R - Century 5.7mm T1.8 - gives a wide distorted look when moving. Good for static shots in the corner etc. - great for music videos and commercials I havn't used the lense in a while so I need to re-affix the lense mount... Call me if interested, Joel 310.628.5400
JB_Letchinger
I have a old style Zeiss 8mm B mount wide angle I'd be interested in selling for 500!! I used it all the time as a wide alternative to the 12-120 without the distortion of the 5.9. you get it adapted to CP mount on your own and you're set.
