I just recently shot a small project on a SR with the 250 stock.

 

In our summer class we did some tests with it so I got to see how much over and under I could go and still have a workable image.

 

It was a small project and more of an experiment so when I get the film back I will know how it worked. But I had some shots of a person walking through a path covered by trees but the background was sunlit. So I had a shaded foreground and lit background. We didn't have any ND's so I wound up basing my exposure for the shade but closing down half a stop to make it a tad dark.

 

My professor said in such situations usually one underxpose's the shade a bit if their is a good percentage of highlights in the frame or bright background.

 

I guess I'm a little concerned about the half stop in the shade and that it will be too dark. First time shooting film and when we underexposed 1 stop on the test it seemed almost normal so I assume a half is nothing.
