Is somebody know if there is a NLE system that support the Sony 25p HDV progressive native format, this format is supported by the Sony HVR Z7/Z5 cameras. Kind regards, Yaron Harel. Yaron Harel Posted July 29, 2009 Author Share Posted July 29, 2009 Hi Peter, the problem is the "native" format as far as i know maybe the Vegas support this files, the Avid MC-soft 3.5 or the Finale-Cut 2 (studio 6) doesn't support those files, do you know something that i don't? thanks, Yaron. Vegas does not transcode source files at all, so it should be able to do what you need. As for Avid's MC, I thought native 25p HDV was added in 3.5. May I ask a few ?'s so I can look into this some more for you? 1) Are you using a PC? 2) What resolution is the image, 720 or 1080? 3) Does Sony HDV record 25p into 50i stream (splitting each frame across two fields) or does it record 25p as individual progressive frames?
