Riku Naskali
About a year old clip that was made by a Finnish production company as a gift to their clients ;) http://www.dissonant.org/~pjammer/movies/Rare_Exports.mov
Guest Frank Gossimier
The exclusive exporters of Father Christmas? Excuse me but every one knows Father Christmas, aka Santa Claus, lives at the North Pole which is in Canada. Not Finnland :-) Question: Was this sent out with English narration? Or was there both an English and Finnish VO? Frank
MiguelDelValle
well, that is just a point o view. He was "imported" from dutch people to america many years ago, at that time he was living close from germany I think and before he was living in Bari in italy and before that he was in Turkey where he saw his first light. So he may move more than once in this strange time we live. Hey, if ALL the work can go to Argentina santa can change adress to bahamas. happy days for everyone

Guest Frank Gossimier
Check your map, Canada owns the vast bulk of the North Pole. Why would this piece be sent out with English narration and not Finnish? I'm always facinated how English is used around the world. Every protest held in every country, no matter where it is, they always have their signs in English. What's happening to the native languages? Riku Naskali
Why would this piece be sent out with English narration and not Finnish?I think because it made it funnier, the "deep trailer voice". And also, why not? Everything else is shot in Finnish, so I don't think it's too much of a problem here.
Premium Member John Sprung Posted December 27, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted December 27, 2004 The actual North pole isn't in any country. It's out in the water -- albeit solid water. ;-) -- J.S.
