Where that wittered white man sits, there will be a couple, male and female; a duplex sorta say'. For the lighting I see very soft tungsten. Maybe China Balls One on the left and one on the right. But what do you guys think? Maybe a kino diva, banked flat above them.

depends really on the mood you want to create. an overall lighting like pictured, the china ball would suffice, but the you have the headroom to mount it. for a more dramatic lighting where the couple is in a pool of light then a kino diva or vistabeam flush on the ceiling and skirted with black cloth will keep light away from the wall!

Just shot a scene last weekend of four guys talking in a diner booth (at night). Yeah it all depends on the mood you're trying to convey.

The diner was well lit, but I bounced from top-left, had a red kick to mimic the neons, and then added some bounce fill on the faces. Turned out decent, but i'm a student so it's not perfect.

I really like that two shot. You really don't see that shot from between the close talent. It's a good look.
