Julie reizes
I'm shooting on a Bolex H16 with 200 speed black and white film stock at 24 fps. The lenses I have can open to a 1.4 and a 1.6. The strobe light I have can be adjusted to flash at 1-15 flashes per second. The scene is in a small room and I can use lights, but I really want it to be dark with just the strobe light lighting the room. If I can't expose with only the strobe light how much light can I use to still make it seem that the only light is coming from the strobe? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Premium Member Tim O'Connor Posted October 29, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted October 29, 2009 You can get a 1.4 with 12 footcandles with 200 ASA at 24 fps. That might be a good place to start for a baseline. If you have the opportunity to do some tests that is always good. You might want to see how your strobe light works out so that the flashes are hitting when the shutter is open.
