Gareth Munden
Hi I have a shoot coming up this weekend with the Canon. I will be shooting 30fps, well I have no choice!!! I wanna finish in 25fps for British TV. What is the best way to do this? What workflow do I need to use re FCP? Thanks Everyone Gareth Munden
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted November 2, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted November 2, 2009 RealViz Retimer or Re:Vision Twixtor. Not sure if either is available for FCP. But isn't there now 25p firmware for the 5D? P
Gareth Munden
Phil Hi, how you doing? I'll look into that. GM RealViz Retimer or Re:Vision Twixtor. sam morgan moore
Phil Hi, how you doing? I'll look into that. GM No firmware till next year, you could use a 7d! Compressor works OK on best setting but takes ages, should be included in your FCP package S
Jean Dodge
http://onlyangelshavewingsblog.blogspot.co...ks-like-we.html here's a step by step method that uses FCP's compressor and NeoScene HD from Cineform- the directions are for 30-24p but should be the similar. I've had good results with this method in a test environment. If you have the time to do some tests, let us know what method you liked the best. Premium Member John Sprung Posted November 3, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted November 3, 2009 Have a look at Arri's new Relativity software package. It's substantially better than the old Twixtor "blur-between" type of conversions. -- J.S.
Panji Laksmana
Hi Gareth, Ussually, I converted all footage to 25fps using either MPEG Streamclip or Cinematools. From my experience, apple pro res is the best codec for FCP, so I always converted that way. cheers from Jakarta
Premium Member Oliver Christoph Kochs Posted November 16, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted November 16, 2009 Hi fellow filmmakers, from all the stuff available, this one http://library.creativecow.net/articles/kr...eo-tutorial.php provided the best results. In case the motion becomes too fast, there is a value you have to adjust somewhere to rather blend the motion than use the plug-ins motion vector technique. Slow, but IMO best quality.
