Thanks a lot Carlos That's a fine camera. It will read 500 negative as 400, resulting in slight over-exposure - not a problem with negative film. Tri-X will also be read close-enough for good results. Rick

I'm buying an external 85 filter (probably the 85B) to use with the 500T....I guess that with the Tri-X I can use it as daylight without filter...right? Thanks a lot for your help. Premium Member Paul Bruening Posted December 24, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted December 24, 2009 Hey Rick, Can't he use that 85B to make his skies pop on Tri-X? Do I remember that correctly? We used an orange filter on Dead by Sunrise and the clouds really stood out from the darkened blue skies.

Richard Tuohy
Hello Carlos, since you didn't mention it, I thought I would make sure you understood that all super 8 cameras already have an 85 filter built in to them. If you are going to use an external 85b filter, make sure you switch off the camera's own internal 85 filter or you will have double filtering. cheers, richard

Here, all the people we hire are shooting with the RED because the clients does not have big budgets for film anymore and the savings are a 20% more or less. I shoot little things with a Canon Mark 11 but I've reading a lot about the sper 8 wedding business in LA and other places and I think it's a great idea.... I want to try it here (word of mouth at the beginning) to see what happens...people does not get it when I talk about it but when they see something done in Super 8, they just fall in love!!...let see what happens... Saludos and thanks again for your advice!! Carlos
