need help on 2 bolex sync devices

i have a question regarding these 2 devices

 

1.crystal control unit 25fps

2.sync/pulse generator 50Hz 25fps

 

i have the ESM motor but would like to know which is the right device for the job

The sync pulse generator will output a pilot tone 1KHz tone to a tape recorder. The tone is used to play the sound faster or slower to match it with the picture. This method is no longer used except you may want to fiddle around with analogue reel to reel tape recorders like a nagra.

So in this case I'd recommend the crystal unit.
