A question for those of you in the 25 fps countries: When you shoot double system sound with a tape camera at 25 fps, what sample clock rate do you use?

Hi John,

 

Do you mean audio tc frame rates ? It's normally 25 FPS for BOTH 25 FPS vision and 24 FPS vision double system.

 

Sample rates ? 48Khz and sometimes 96 Khz ?

Yes, the sample rates. Is it 48.000 or 48.048? I was wondering if there might be something like 50.050 KHz out there.

We have a project starting up that will shoot on a 50 Hz. location, and post here, where they insist on working in 24p. The DP wants to shoot 25 fps, to have complete freedom to choose shutter angles.
