Karel Bata
For years we've seen real effects done in camera increasingly being substituted with digital fx in post. For instance gun flashes or subsequent sprays of blood can be added or augmented later. But this isn't always so easy with 3D as errors are less easily tolerated. An effect like this (hover your mouse over the image) is relatively easy to do in 2D. In 3D it would be a major challenge. So, at until we have more capable 3D post tools, are we going to see a return to 'real' effects? p.s. If it's not obvious, I'm not talking about mega budget movies for whom this isn't such an issue (is that a triple negative there? ) .
