camera screw tie downs and inserts

Hi all;

 

I've come up with some things that I've needed for a while and thought I'd make a run of them at the machine shop.

 

The first batch will be done in 10 days.

 

All are made of 304 Stainless steel, not cheap aluminum or some other soft metal.

 

Here is my thought.

3/8" to 1/4-20" camera hole inserts. Different lengths.

 

1/4-20" camera screws, different lengths.

 

3/8" cameras screws, 3/4" long which is about double what is out there now.

 

I keep running into brackets and plates and cameras that are all non-traditional mating set-ups and I'm relieved everytime I get it all together with the current screws I have.

 

Among my friends/ACs etc. these new screws/inserts are known as the

"Oh poop kit" and you pull out the little case and see what's now possible.
