Donnie D'Alessio
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a super 8mm camera that I could record video footage. What is the Shutter Angle needed to do so? thanks, don
Matt Pacini
Be more specific. What do you mean "record video footage"? Are you talking about telecine,fiml-chain transfer, pointing the camera at a monitor, etc???? MP
Donnie D'Alessio
In one of the scenes of a movie I am filming on super8mm, A television is on in the background, I was wondering what Shutter angle the camera must be in order for me to get a perfect image off of the tv in the background. So, I will be filming the image off of a monitor with a super 8 camera. what is required? thanks
Patrick Neary
hi- assuming NTSC video and 24fps film, you need a 144-degree shutter, crystal sync and some kind of phasing box (attached to the camera) to roll the video bar out of the picture. good luck finding that on a super-8! Or you could just live with the roll bars...
Nate Downes
Or you could "cheat" and use a back-projected image from an 8mm projector onto a ground glass. I've done that before. (synch'ed it up to the camera)
