GrahamRobbins
Hey guys anyone work on the film, "The Strangers" ? I was curious what ASA they filmed at, and how they tweaked there color to get that dirty orange feel with all the exterior night stuff. I just shot a low budget horror feature digitally and got the same look with 640 ASA, and 5000k for my white balance. I am just curious if anyone knows specifics on the film. Thanks, Graham Robbins www.grahamrobbinsdp.com
Steve Zimmerman
I was at a seminar by the film's gaffer and he said they used lighting balloons with sodium vapor lamps for the orange color. He also said that the film was shot on super 35 and was underexposed for the grainy look. The Strangers was not a zero budget film, it was $9 million.
