David Calson
Those bright green poster boards you see in Target or art stores, has anybody used those for chroma keying and if so how clean a matte do you get?
David McDonald
I've used them for covering computer monitors and they seemed to work pretty well. I was shooting with the 5D which is quite bad for chroma keying (unless the lighting and chroma screen is perfect) and it worked pretty well. I don't think I would use a bunch of them taped together to make a big screen, but for smaller things they're not bad. But it's up to you. You can always do some simple tests. Paulo Eduardo Uchoa
You can use them and get great results. It really comes down to what camera you are using. Here is an example picture. I used several of those sheets taped together, I used a long lens and a fast aperture to throw the background completely out of focus and you (even the computer) can't even tell that its a bunch of sheets taped together.
