Anthony Bono
I've lost my first friend in film making. My Spectra Pro has died. Woke up one day and just doesn't work any more. IT IS NOT THE BATTERY. Is it worth fixing? Will it ever be the same? I know its silly, but I've had it since film school. Is five years the usual life span? We even had a name for it. If it's worth fixing, where is a reasonable place to have it serviced? Tony LA, CA 90004
Sam Wells
Jeez my Spectra Combi-II was rebuilt by Spectra twice after five years ! I have a sentimental attachment to it also but wouldn't go TOO far in anthropomorphising it; it's still my friend but my Sekonic is an exploitable employee, y'know what I mean ? :D Seriously a good instrument is worth fixing. Quality Light Metric is usually recommended. You could call Spectra for their recommendation. -Sam
