I want to mount my 7D to a 3" railing. Does anyone have any suggestions for simple/cheap rigs that I could make or buy? Thanks for your help. Super Clamp would do the trick if you don't have a lot of accessories and a light lens. I'm not sure of the pound rating but it should work fine maybe with a ball head holding the camera.
