Bayley Sweitzer
Just thought I'd share what the new Vivid 250D looks like so you don't have to spend a hundred bucks to find out. Make sure you watch it on YouTube at 1080 HD to get the full effect. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaNYmcYAlwM It was surprisingly grainy, especially in bright light. I think you ve been underexposing your negative a bit too much, and your lens is not that sharps, and has a very flat look. just use a incidental meter put in your key (direct sunlight) and overexpose 2/3 stop over. What kind of lens do you use (it flairs so your white and black point are very gray). Here's an example of the fuji eterna 500t overexposed half of a stop on the key.. It still looks amazing.. password: hb http://vimeo.com/32099398 password: hb I will post some 2k scann tonight shot with fuji eterna 250t (has the same grain profile as your film does).. jeroenvanderpoel
another comment: try to avoid shooting with such a long focal length.. The air is so humit that everything gets fogged and grayed out, and desatured. unless you want such a look..
