tomas riuka
Hello everyone, soon I will be shooting a short video showing high end audio equipment, though that happens in a very boring looking room, something very similar to pictures in this link: http://avd.lt/_news/?ID=39 Did anyone do some 'packshots' for this kind of stuff? Any ideas on lighting the room for it? I was thinking of 3 or 4 to 1 contrast ratio, having colder backlight. Ideas and comments appreciated Tomas
Martin Hong
maybe add some warmness to the room, note that there isnt much color in that place, and everything looks dull. Edited October 20, 2011 by Martin Hong
Justin W. King
I don't know if this is for product shots or part of a short film, but Back light usually looks good on equipment, especially if it's colorful and comes from diffuse surfaces, in the same way that it looks good on cars (although it will look different from shiny cars). Side light can help too. Look at Some of ETC Source4 and Selador Product shots, among other things.
