David Johnson
http://youtu.be/JQ4K3af0Kis I want to shoot a scene with the exact same setup as this but I'm trying to figure out how they have no shadows from the table lamp and also how they kept the reflection out of the picture frame? Is this done with a chimera with eggcrates?
Pete Wallington
It's very common practice to remove the glass from picture frames to avoid reflections.
David Johnson
Thanks! Any tips on how to keep the light off of the practical lamp and where the position and what type of lights are used here?
Stuart Brereton
Looks like a largish soft source more or less directly over the bed. From the lack of spill on the back wall it looks to have been skirted so as to provide a pool of light just over the actors. The practicals are most likely dimmed down to retain a little detail in the shades.
