finally caught this last night and wish i'd seen it on the big screen (bigger than me plasma anyway ha ha). anyway I was wondering if anyone had any info on the lighting, from the interview section it looked like they were blasting light through muslin and shooting when overcast, with I assume a straw or something to warm it all up a tad. I assume they also used some lighting on the stedicam shots? any info?

If I remember correctly after reading a short article in AC about it, the steadicam shots were basically all done with a 400w HMI joker in a china ball on a pole, and I don't remember them mentioning anything about the other setups. I'm sure they were fairly simplistic, however, due to the fact that it was shot in 15 days and only a few hours a day (from 3-6 pm) since they needed a consistent "magic hour" look(!)

After checking the article again, it mentions one other setup on the boat, where they had a 20x silk overhead, some 5600k kinos and "one small hmi." Hope that helps!
