Video Interpolation

Is there a software program or machine of some kind to "Interpolate" video @ 24p 16:9?

I have noticed a lot of pro photo software is doing this, but that is just to still photos. Is there anyway to Interpolate video? Similar to what the IMAX DMR Process does. Where it scans the film, digitally "Uprezes" the image (Removes grain to) and then outputs to 65mm film (No, I don?t wanna output to 65mm film! Or remove grain for that matter, since the footage has no grain).

Thank you in advance for any advice you have to offer!

Yes. The majority of commercials you see in a cinema will have been blown up from TV through an interpolation process. The thing is that mostly this process is built into other devices such as the film recorder or DI / compositing tools. For example, we use Mistika (www.mistika.tv) for our interpolation and get excellent results. Such results are based on years of development so the best processes tend to reside within expensive tools, although they always filter down to the pro-sumer level. You would have to do some comparision tests to see what software has good and bad blow-ups.
