Michael Huber
Hi, Im working on a personal 16mm project. I just recieved my HD telecine back on hard drive in ProRez Hg .mov The film was shot at 24 FPS and the transfer was done at 24 FPS. I will be doing simple editing on Final cut Pro just removing clips I do not want and adding a soundtrack. The final format will be for viewing on the web. Do I need to perform reverse telecine to keep the same frame rate at which I shot the film with this kind of simple workflow before editing. Thanks in advance! Guest Owen Parker
Hi Michael, If you have the material as HD ProRes at the correct frame rate and intend to distribute on the web you have no need of any further telecine. Edit in FCP, grade in FCP and export to web format in FCP. Unless I'm missing something you're sorted!
