Munich film cinematrography,kaminski

I found Munich cinematography really visually good.I found the Mood to be fitting every scene.I am a Film enthusiast,So can you cinematrographers please tell me about MUNICH cinematography. I read that kaminski is against Digital intermediate and he preferred to do photochemically do colouring to the film rather than digitally.How did he do such good colouring photochemically? Is photochemical process forgotten in hollywood and International cinema?
