Were in the preparing for a feature to be shot with Sony HDW-750P and I just wonder if the VISTA-format in the camera menu is representing 1:1.85? Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted April 4, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted April 4, 2005 According to the footnotes in the F900 Maintenance Manual, "Vista 1" corresponds to 1.89 : 1 and "Vista 2" corresponds to 2.37 : 1. Probably "Vista" in the 750 is the same as "Vista 1" in the F900 but I'd check the manual. 1.89 is close enough to 1.85 for all practical purposes but truth is that 1.78 : 1 is also so close to 1.85 that you can just use it and give yourself marginally more headroom on shots just to be safe for 1.85 projection.
