Premium Member Frank Barrera Posted April 7, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted April 7, 2005 First time SDX900 user. Now I know I want to shoot DVCPRO50. But at B and H photo they've got two DVCPRO tapes. One is the AJ-P66L 66 Minutes DVCPRO Video Cassette - Large and the other is the AJ-P66M 66 Minutes DVCPRO Video Cassette - Medium. I did a search for some info and I can't get it straight. If I'm shooting DVCPRO50 and I want a 66 minute tape do I want the large or the medium. I'm certain this is a simple question so hit me. Thanks much Frank Barrera
Premium Member John Ealer Posted April 7, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted April 7, 2005 The SDX-900 only takes medium sized cassettes. The AJ-P66M is the one to get. Keep in mind, though, that all DVCPRO tape stock is the same but that the run times listed on the cassette are for DVCPRO25. So the AJ-P66M will record 66 minutes in DVCPRO25, 33 minutes in DVCPRO50. This is the longest load available for the SDX-900. J
