I wanted to know if there is a way to hook up my HandyCam directly to my PC (USB), turn it on, and use Window Media Encoder to send a stream. I have tried this and to no avail. I can see the initial image but when I hit encode it goes away. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> look into Serious Magic DV Rack software. it is made for computer controlled direct recording of dv material. if i remember correctly there is an option for outputting multiple monitors. i only had 1 chance to play with it, so my memory is a bit hazy. also try calling them. talk to an engineer and ask if it can do what you want.
