Jean Gonzales
Hi guys, I'm looking to get my first set of flag/scrims. The only problem i have is: do i go for a 18 x 24" set or a 24 x 36" set? I am a photographer and i plan on using them with my normal reflectors (7" diameter) I've googled around, but i cant seem to find any explenation on this matter? Thanks! JB Earl
are you talking flags specifically? or scrims too? Depends on your lighting style. We use 24x36 in front of softboxes, but the 18x24 works fine most of the time with fresnels and open face lights. JB Earl
we use fomecore as gobos a lot, just clamp to a stand. (most still photogs i know call them flags) We have a bunch of paint cans filled with concrete and a pole stuck in them to clamp fomecore and such to. Very small footprint makes it easy to work around the set. The scrims and silks must be rigged properly though.
