David Frank
Hi, I just picked up a Konvas 2m camera(my first 35mm movie cam experience) and I would like to get some dummy roles to screw around with and learn how to load the mags and all that. Where can I pick some up? I am in San Fran if you know of a place local as well. Thanks!
Robert Hughes
Goto eBay and buy any old roll of Kodak 52XX film stock. It may be still good film, so if you intend to develop it, treat it with some care. If you only need 3 feet to practice running through the sprockets, open up a roll of 36 exposure still film. It uses the same film base & sprocket holes. My first camera test on an Eyemo was with a roll of Kodak Gold - took it down to to the 1-hour lab at Target & waited around for the results. Oh, 35mm is so great! Such color, detail, and the negative is huge! If only I could afford it...
Dominic Case
why not call your local lab: I'm sure the guys at Monaco could find a roll of processed junk film (scratch test or whatever) that they could let you have for loading practice etc.
