Jordan Dowding
I have an overhead shot I need to do that may call for the camera to move up/out vertically. Is there a simpler method than using a dolly to compensate for horizontal movement in the arc of a jib arm? I've seen the effect achieved lightweight by suspending the RED+Movi from a makeshift rope pulley system - but we're going to be shooting exterior with a 35mm camera, so that's not such a viable option... Premium Member Mark Kenfield Posted April 3, 2014 Premium Member Share Posted April 3, 2014 You could try suspending a slider vertically over your subject and using a rope/pulley system to draw the camera upwards.
Sanjay Sami
Use the Tower Cam. I used it frequently on "The Grand Budapest Hotel" It works great and comes in sizes upto 12 metres if I recollect correctly. Can also be underslung.
