robbie Land
wondering if anyone may have any ideas how to solve my problem with lens flares or light streaks when re-photographing film on a jk optical printer. the set-up is simple: bolex, bellows with Nikkor 50mm, filter pack including neutral densities, and a light source, which is the projected light of 300w slide projector bulb. the f/stop is around f/8 - f/16. i get the streak if i use diffusion glass or not. of course most streaking occurs with higher contrast original images with "hot spots". is there some way to solve this major problem? i have been using a cut-out mask that frames the frame i am re-photographing, but this is not always effective and is difficult to control. there must be a solution. thanks for any help anyone can provide.
