Alexandros Angelopoulos Apostolos Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 A total of 45 Ultra HD titles have been released on Blu-ray Disc since March — and according to Home Media Magazine market research, consumers bought more than 228,000 discs as of June 24. By comparison, Blu-ray Disc, launched in June 2016, moved just 57,000 units in the comparable time frame. http://variety.com/2016/digital/real-estalker/early-ultra-hd-blu-ray-sales-numbers-exceed-disc-predecessor-1201804322/
Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted June 28, 2016 Premium Member Posted June 28, 2016 The article seems to imply that all UHD titles are HDR. Is this so?
Michael LaVoie Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 Hopefully this will inspire manufacturers to come up with affordable 4K projectors. A market that's been completely ignored. Especially since projection is the only way one could possibly tell a 4K bluray from a standard bluray.
