Sean Azze
Hey Guys Does anyone know if the dvx 100 is compatible with lenses? If not, is there a device that can be used as a go between to make it compatible? Thanks
Shawn Murphy
Hey Guys Does anyone know if the dvx 100 is compatible with lenses? If not, is there a device that can be used as a go between to make it compatible? Thanks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 1. There are only a few specialized lenses that can be added to the DVX, most of which are made by Century Optics, basically a wide angle adapter, a tele converter, achromatic/macro adapter, fish eye, and maybe a few others, and I believe Panasonic makes a few of these as well, and also there's an Anamorphic adapter: http://www.centuryoptics.com/products/prod...x100/dvx100.htm If you want to use standard 35mm or prime lenses, see #2 below 2. Yes, one commercial product that is extremely expensive, the 'mini35', and there are a large number of DIY adapters, and one new reasonably priced entry, the 'micro35', as well as the soon to be released 'guerilla35' Go to the dvxuser.com site as there are tons of threads and discussions about perhaps every DVX adapter known to man: http://www.dvxuser.com/V3/showthread.php?t...ro35+guerilla35 http://www.dvxuser.com/V3/showthread.php?t...ro35+guerilla35 ?or just Google any of those product names: http://www.redrockmicro.com/ http://www.guerilla35.com/ *this is the expensive one: http://www.pstechnik.de/datasheets/d_mini35.htm
Shawn Murphy
and here's one more great resource for this particular subject (not specific to the DVX as most of these adapters are intended to be used on as many DV cameras as possible): http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/forumdisplay.php?forumid=

Shawn Murphy
you are the man. Thanks! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> my pleasure. ...and not to overload you, but I also found another interesting find, perhaps a less expensive way of achieving the Century Optics tele much less expensively: http://www.dvxuser.com/V3/showthread.php?t...s+teleconverter *needless to say, if you happen to stumble across any additional DIY options, please share them with us all ;-)
