Thor Ragnarok - source resolution

IMDB says this:

Camera Arri Alexa 65 (Prime 65 and Vintage 765 Lenses) Cinematographic Process ARRIRAW (3.4K) (6.5K) (source format)
Digital Intermediate (2K) (master format)

So why is it 3.4K if they're using the Alexa 65?

I saw it last night a special advance screening, just a 2K projector, but in the recently refurbished Reading Rouse Hill (sydney)cinemas.

They've now got speakers all over the place - walls, roof, floor , front, rear - you name it.
I don't think it particularly added anything to the overall experience, but a lot of people complained that they couldn't understand the dialogue a lot of the time.
You always get this problem: "We spent a lot of money on this surround sound setup; if we don't crank the volume up, the management won't think we're getting our money's worth..."

I'd assume that they either had regular Alexas or Minis doing certain shots (Mini in a Gimbal/Drone, regular Alexa for multi-cam coverage of pyrotechnics etc.), or they cropped in to 3.4k on the Alexa65 in order to use certain specialist lenses for particular scenes (S35mm T/1.3 primes for low-light work, or S35mm super telephoto lenses - that kind of thing).
